Hanxin alumnus Liang Xuan won the "Best Sound Award" at the 2nd Raintown Film Festival!
Another Hanxin alumnus has won award from the 2nd Raintown Film Festival!Liang Xuan, an outstanding alumnus of Oneworld Hanxin College, won the Best Sound Award in the 2nd Raintown Film Festival Short Film Competition's for her self-directed film, "Drip by Drip!"
She shared, "This film is like a private visual diary. Initially, I simply wanted to capture my feelings and emotions in the moment and capture them in a visual. Unexpectedly, after the screening, the film moved many viewers."
As she put it, "It felt as warm as finding a stranger willing to listen when you need to share your heart."
The biggest challenge in the creative process was how to tell an intimate family story within limited resources. Concerned that the visuals might be a bit thin, she devoted considerable attention to the sound design, using sound to expand the imagination of the space and enrich the narrative with layers and warmth. It was the sound that resolved these creative challenges and ultimately created the film's unique charm.
Liang Xuan also encouraged her fellow creative students:
"When you have a spark of creativity in your mind, bravely give it a try. Don't worry about whether the results will be ideal, and don't be afraid of your own shortcomings. Just take the first step, and perhaps the path will appear."
