Another great news! Hanxin's outstanding alumni won two awards
Warm congratulations to Yeo Jun Yu, an outstanding alumnus of Oneworld Hanxin College for winning both the Best Short Film and Best Screenplay awards at the 2nd Raintown Film Festival Short Film Competition with his short film, "Where the Fish Looked Up."This short film was inspired by a childhood memory with his younger brother.
The story of buying fish and returning home, under the theme of "rain," unfolds into a heartwarming narrative of growth, innocence, and nostalgia.
Yeo Jun Yu shared, "'Where the Fish Looked Up' doesn't hold much significance; it serves more as a closure for a part of my childhood. It's a gift to children, young people, the elderly, and myself."
During the process, he briefly considered giving up due to communication challenges with the young actors and his demanding schedule. Fortunately, the support and encouragement of his team kept him going until the final product was created.
The moment he learned of the award, he felt that all his hard work had paid off!
Even more exciting, this work also won the Best Performance Award at the CIFAN (Chiang Mai International Fantastic Film Festival), once again demonstrating the extraordinary talent of Hanxin alumni!
He also offered special encouragement to fellow students who aspire to participate in film festivals:
